Wasted Away Again....

I have so much to tell you guys this week. It was great! After Easter, Granny T came back up and we had a big week of playing!! She continued to do laundry and clean, and I think Daddy likes her cooking better than Mommy's. Mommy's still back at work -- bottles are awesome! I can eat so much faster! I need to lay off though, or they're going to make me join the WW.

Pop came to visit on Friday, and we went to Grandma Miles' to visit my cousins. They came all the way from North Carolina, so of course we had to see them. They are very smart and even have their own CD. I can't wait to go visit them and see the beach!

We made our first big trip to Los Aztecas Friday night. It was a blast, and the pictures tell the whole story! I'm sure it was my first of many trips to Margaritaville...

Finally, there's big news out of Russell County. My cousin Jaxon was involved in a car accident, and it wasn't the demolition derby like uncle Sean likes to get into. My great-aunt Patty was parked in the parking lot and her van was rear-ended. Jaxon was the only one in the car at the time. But, he's not injury free. He sustained whiplash, and will be seeing the chiropractor for 6-9 months. But no worries, I think he's gonna sue to recoup lost wages. Of course, there are pictures to depict his pain and suffering....

Back to work

Well, the time finally came to go back to work. It's been a long week, but thanks to my mom things are going smoothly. We're very lucky to have granny "T" stay with us and help out during the week. By help out, we mean watch Isaac, cook dinner, clean the house, do laundry, and iron. Jeremy's finally learning what it's like to have a real wife; she's really making me look bad! Isaac loves T and I think she kind of likes him too...
Work is the same, but I have a whole new perspective on where my patients' parents are coming from. It's been hard leaving in the mornings, and we haven't worked out a great schedule yet. Monday and Tuesday night, Isaac slept from 9:30 until I woke him up between 6 and 7 the next morning! Of course now that the weekend's here, he's back to getting up at 3 for a snack.
We got to see the Easter Bunny and I think he's bringing the little guy his first regulation basketball. We hope to have him palming it by Christmas (by the looks of his hands, it may be possible). We also had some "real" pictures made at Portrait Innovations. I highly recommend it if you want enough pictures to give out to everyone you've ever met for a good price. I posted them on the Picasa site. I also added a couple of new videos. Isaac was sucking his fingers in utero, and as you'll see, it's continued despite our best efforts to thwart it. I can throw a paci away someday, but I think people frown upon removing your childrens' appendages. We'll have to figure that out when the time comes. We're looking forward to T coming back tomorrow, as her leftovers only last so long! I think we're ALL getting a little spoiled. Leave us a message if you stop by the page! We miss ya.

Isaac here

Hey guys. I got a new activity mat this week, and it is awesome! Lots of music and lights and crazy animals. Mommy put a video up. Of course I love the mirror the best. I'm so vain, and yes that song is about me.

I also learned a new dance last night. It's called the cabbage patch and I think it was Daddy's best move back in his mullet days. By the way, quit telling yourself it was a "curl" Dad and that all the girls loved it. Well, I'm going to get rested up for a big walk this afternoon. It's supposed to be nice out and I can't wait for some fresh air!

love,

Isaac

Snow Day

Isaac was all smiles this weekend cheering on his Cards. If only we could have hit some free throws, it might have been a better game. The foot of snow that fell on Louisville kept us in, organizing the house and getting birth announcements sent out. Daisy really enjoyed playing in it, but Isaac was happy just watching from the window. I put some more pictures up of the little guy having a big day and enjoying his big boy chair from auntie Kristen. Only one more week left together, before I have to go back to work. Granny T is looking forward to come help, and we can't wait to see her. I'd rather not go back, but I can finally see the light at the end of the 11 year tunnel - just 4 1/2 more months! The little guy says hello to everyone, and we miss you!

My Big Day Out

I had a big week this week. On Tuesday, we went to the malls (yes both of them!) to exchange some gifts. But, mainly Mommy wanted a salad from California Pizza Kitchen. I was really good and we even nursed in the nasty family bathroom. But rumor has it next time we're going to Von Mauer. Their nursing room is POSH! I was a really good boy, so Mommy decided to let me leave the house again on Wednesday. We went to Babies R Us and then to see Miss Leslie so Mommy could get her hair done. She really was looking rough. I was so good and slept, and then I got to play with pretty girls at the salon. Mommy's hair looks awesome, so we're all happy now. Tomorrow we're going to see Mommy's doctor if it doesn't snow too much. Well, I've got a big day of sleeping and swinging--I'll talk to you guys later!

Our first Blog

It's official: we're finally bloggers. With our newest addition, family and friends want updates on our lives (let's be honest, they really just want to know about Isaac). So, we're gonna make this the place to get up to the minute news on all things Lewis. Save it as a favorite, and check back. We'll keep adding pics on the Picasa site too. We've also put a few small videos on google, and I'll try to get more up soon!

Isaac update: He's doing great! We went for a walk this morning with Daisy Dog. Maybe not a great idea, but we wanted to enjoy the first day of nice weather since he was born. Hopefully Daisy will get the hang of it. We'll update more later!
